Agriculture leaders congratulate Jamie Clover Adams, Gordon Wenk on new leadership roles

LANSING – The Agricultural Leaders of Michigan (ALM) today issued the following statement congratulating Jamie Clover Adams, outgoing director of the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) and Gordon Wenk, who has been named as the department’s new director:
“We congratulate Jamie Clover Adams on her appointment to help lead the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and we have no doubt she will continue to serve as a strong voice for Michigan agriculture in Washington, D.C., just as she has done for years as director of MDARD.
Gordon Wenk is an excellent choice to lead MDARD going forward. He has demonstrated tireless dedication to Michigan agriculture throughout his career and enjoys trust and strong partnerships across the industry. He is a great choice to work together with farmers, agribusinesses and rural communities to grow our economy and create good jobs.”
